My tree, again.

Here's a different view of my Christmas tree this year, I'm a lot happier with this layout than the last one. I kind of went a little crazy with the glitter in this kit. ;)

Credit goes to Nathy, at http://www.nathy.net/psp, everything I used in this layout is from her Holiday Charms kit.

My Christmas tree

I started this LO with a really cool idea in my head, and well....this is what it turned into. I'm not sure what the heck happened or where my vision went, but this is not it! The more I added and took away, the less I liked it. Finally I just gave up and said it's finished.

Everything I used is from the Whimisical Wonderland kit, check out Ellie Lash's blog Sugar Snap Scraps (on the right) to find all the links.

new layout

Ok so it's been a while since I've been able to update here, I've been so busy, as I'm sure everyone is at this time of the year. But I woke up this morning with a wicked head cold and just don't have the energy to do anything but sit at my computer, so I figured this would be the perfect time to get another layout or 2 done. I've been wanting to do something with these pics of the first snowfall we had this winter, we got massive amounts of snow in one big dump! lol I just opened my back door and snapped these pics after the snow stopped falling. Just imagine that less than 24 hours before I took these, there was not one flake of snow to be found here. I think Mother Nature was pms'ing that day! ;)

Everything I used (except for the frames) comes from the amazing collab kit, Whimsical Wonderland. Click on the blinkie for Ellie Lash's Sugar Snap Scraps on the right to find all the links for this HUGE (FREE!!!) kit. You will be seeing a lot of it on my blog in the future, I just love every last little piece of it and will be using it many times, I'm sure. ;)

PAD Challenge: Day 4

SNAP A SHOT OF SOMETHING SHINEY

This is my favorite "bought" tree ornament, my glass reindeer. Again it's hard to do it justice in a photo (with a noob like me at the controls!), it's very shiney, especially when placed in front of one of the tree lights. It has gold glitter on the antlers, tail, hooves and around it's neck, it's really beautiful!

PAD Challenge: Day 3

SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU SMILE

Boy did I have a hard time with this one!! At first, I thought, what the heck makes me smile?? But the more I looked around, the more I found, and then I had a hard time narrowing it down to just one!! I finally chose this banner my oldest dd made when she was in grade 2. We giggle a bit every time we take it out of the box at Christmas, she loves the fact that I still have it and insist it go in the same spot by the front door every year. I love it because she made it just for me with her own 2 little hands.

PAD challenge: Day 2

SOMETHING THAT PUTS YOU IN THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT

This is the first thing I put up every Christmas season, it gets me in the holiday spirit every year. I love the cream and gold colours together. I also love that I found it at a Boxing Day sale one year for $1.50!!!! Can't beat that price! lol

25 Days of Christmas Photo a Day challenge

Val Fowler over at When Valgal Sits Down has a really cool photo challenge going on at her blog. She's providing the inspiration for Christmas (or whatever) photos. I've never done anything like this before, but I thought it was a wonderful idea, mostly because my pics consist of 3 things, my kids. Mostly my son, he's only 3 and still lets me take pics of him all the time LOL. That is when he's being still enough ;).

On to my pics. Keep in mind, I have only had my digicam since July, and have not had the time to figure out all the settings yet, so some of these are not the greatest. I also haven't had the time to "fix" them in PSP yet either. Without further ado, here they are:

DAY ONE: SOMETHING RED

This is my 13 yo dd's favorite Christmas ornament, she received it a few years ago from my parents. My appologies for the poor quality.
